Ann, Not Annie

Friendship, family and grief are all strong themes and they blend together beautifully in this well crafted story…don’t let the romance tag fool you, this story is about a lot more than dating…I definitely would pick up a copy today.
Ann, Not Annie

A coming of age story with snark.
Ann, Not Annie

The anonymous narrator immediately piques our curiosity… I love Ann’s doodles, which are scattered throughout the book and depict her (bad) moods… The author’s knowledge of mental health issues is apparent in her writing. This is a helpful book for teens dealing with an alcoholic parent or the death of a loved one, but it also addresses issues such as self-esteem, popularity, friendship, and rape culture… An enjoyable, satisfying read.
Snowflake Obsidian

A soul-baring book by a talented writer.
Snowflake Obsidian

One of the most raw and real books I’ve read in a long time.

[Sage Steadman] writes in a sassy, colloquial voice [about] ‘the silent epidemic of the 21st century.’
The Aeon Star

I was pleasantly surprised with this book. … I was unable to predict exactly where the author was going with the story line which was great. … It was a great read and not the same old thing that it seems like every author is trying to write about these days. I am definitely looking forward to reading more from this author.
Ann, Not Annie

A well-crafted and poignant account of a girl struggling to find herself and gain social acceptance as a teenager in the most difficult of circumstances. Through deft narration, the author develops both Ann’s complexity and simplicity in a way that instantly charmed me, and had me rooting for Ann to lift herself up and overcome her pain as she tries to navigate high school as a head of household…this is is certainly one I would want teenagers to read, for Ann’s vulnerability, self reflection, resilience and eventual strength are exquisitely portrayed in an understandable way as to be an inspiration for young readers.
Ann, Not Annie

Wow. This is one of those books that after you finish it, you just sit there for a full minute, thinking about what you’ve just read. This book exceeded my expectation completely… This book is an art piece…taught me more on life than what I can from my parents in a year…
Excellent…phenomenal… This book took me on a breathtaking journey, and I finished in a sitting… It deserve[s] every attention that it gets.
No way, absolutely no way I’m giving it anything less than five stars. Absolutely. Amazing.
Snowflake Obsidian

Flippant, witty and profound.
Ann, Not Annie

The thing I love about the YA contemporary genre is it’s spunk. The stories that come from this set often embody a take no prisoner approach that tells you how it is not often found in other genres. Steadman’s new novel ‘Ann, Not Annie’ is the perfect model.
Snowflake Obsidian

Touching and jarring…blunt and humorous…a story of healing and revelation that deserves to be told.
Ann, Not Annie

This book was beyond my expectations it was like a tornado that came from nowhere it sucked me inside its vortex and did not let go of me until the very end…
The Aeon Star

Just finished a really entertaining and engrossing read by my friend, Lauren T. Hart. … I really loved this book! Lots of action and great pacing in the story. The kind of book you keep reading, but do so with trepidation because as you move ahead in the story, the end becomes closer and you don’t want to leave the characters.
Ann, Not Annie

I found the entire story very compelling…The narration for this is fantastic. Throughout the story the narrator tells you about everything that happens with Ann but never says who it is. I found this really intriguing. Plus, knowing that the narrator was speaking directly to the reader allows the narrator to add in a few things of their own feelings. Which at times, was hilarious.
The Aeon Star

From the first page to the last, I was smitten. The characters were well developed, very likeable, or certainly believable. The twists and turns were many, good and bad, still unbelievable, for the most part! I hope that Ms. Hart writes many more books for her biggest fans!!!
Ann, Not Annie

It’s a moving new adult story with some strong messages…an emotive and captivating read.
The Aeon Star

I started reading The Aeon Star by Lauren T. Hart and I can’t put it down. Lauren, I am loving it.
The Aeon Star

This book was comparable to an aggressive plane ride. It had a sudden takeoff and then a smooth ride with some turbulence along the way and then a sudden landing that takes everyone by surprise but it all end up good in the end. I won this book in a giveaway and even though it took me awhile to read it, I really enjoyed it.
The Aeon Star

Perfect blend of soft sci-fi, young adult fun, and new adult story, with romance and suspense.
Snowflake Obsidian

[Snowflake Obsidian] grabs you and refuses to let go until you’ve turned the last page.
